Beginning…

Through symbolism, the poetic and the dramatic, and defending the descriptive powers of the figurative tradition as a basis for a female centered approach to the narrative, this installation suggests a beginning. We are a story. The tradition of the nursery frieze presents one structure for a dialogue, from our beginning. Each panel represents a letter of the alphabet through a symbolic value. 

They are not fixed in place but simply set on a shelf and they are set according to a (personal) narrative. A narrative we select from the moment of beginning.

We write our own story… don’t we?
